clay and sensory experience inspired by the slower rhythm of summer. Through the creation of a handbuilt summer cup, participants explore the relationship between everyday objects, sensory memory, and the rituals that bring people together.
More than learning a ceramic technique, this experience is an invitation to slow down, observe, and reconnect. Around a shared table, clay becomes a language for exploring the sensations we associate with summer: extended evenings, a cold drink held in both hands, the shade of trees, conversations that linger, and the feeling of having nowhere else to be.
Each participant will create a unique stoneware cup designed to accompany small summer rituals—water, lemonade, wine, aperitifs, or any drink that invites us to stay a little longer.
The finished piece will be glazed and fired by Studio Magdala and made available for pickup at a later date.
